This is why it takes a long time to load each time you open with this enabled. I don't think it will be made persistent because it slows the function of the edit dialog down and is not necessary for most of the edit functions.

Good info. Makes sense. I am not sure if I tried to uncheck the box under otions but I will try what you have explained.
