Re: Cross Fade

One thing I have on mine which I did mention some time ago in the forum but I did not get much responce back from it.
With silence enabled both my XP and my Windows 7 laptops It only removes the silence at the beginning of my songs they all play to the natural end, the remove silence is set on the end of all songs but they all play to the end I also note that when my duration field reaches zero the sound stops but the counter carries on with negative numbers.
This could be why on auto you are not noticing any fade out as indeed I don't.

As you state, it does not do an overlapping cross fade as in a proper cross-fade one is fading in as the other is fading out but mine definitely fades in and out.
If I play a song on the playlist, karaoke, video or mp3 it will fade in, If I then highlight the following song on the list, press play again before the previouse one ends, it will fade the one playing to silence then fade the next one in. If I press stop while one is playing it will fade out then stop.

I doubt you would notice it unless you have remove silence mode selected. If it is not you will only notice the fade out if you stop a song. The fade in would not notice as there is generally too much silence in the intro screens. If you do have it selected make sure the little box to the right that reads "Add Silence When playing" that the amount set isn't longer than your fade in time.

Check your Tools/ remove silence settings. I have mine set to: before 2 sec after 1 sec. and then my Tools/ Audio setting controls is set to fade in 3.0 sec out 1.5. Auto play delay 0.

Roy.
