The visualization causing Hoster to freeze I don't believe would be a power problem but instead would be a processor capability problem.
Best thing to carry with you in your equipment would be a meter to check voltage levels and a ground checker to make sure outlet is grounded correctly. This would especially be helpful if you play in a lot of different venues. Then you can show the owner that he has a problem.

Dale, I don't think it's a processor problem. I've got an Intel quad core 2.34 cpu and NVidia GeForce GT120 gpu. But I'll check to see how much that particular visualization is loading the cpu. There is one thing I've noticed about that visualization, and the problem that I used to have with the freezing of Hoster. When I'm at home, I can run Hoster with that visualization, and I have no freezes. Of course I have good power at home and I run through a UPS and 1 power strip. When I was having the frozen Hoster, it was only at that 1 venue. Once I separated the power strips, I had no more freezes until I ran that 1 particular visualization, which made me think it may be low power since this visualization is complicated and intense, and it might take a little more umph to get it to run. But like I said, at home I have no problems.
