Re: .cdg files?????

ProSound1, years ago MTU created the .cdg filename extension... before the now popular "Audio+G" formats consisting of and audio (mp3 [4-10MB], wma [3-8MB], or wav [33-66MB]), and a graphics/lyrics (.cdg [1-1.5MB]) file, which are all now supported by Hoster.

Now, if your files were imported from a CDG Karaoke disc with an older version of Microstudio, then it contains the audio (wav uncompressed) and graphics/lyrics data interleaved within the single ".cdg" file, exactly as they are found on the CDG disc. These files will be the size of a wav file plus the cdg data, or around 34MB-67.5MB (for 3-6 minute long songs). If your files are not this size (and I expect they are not), then you don't have the audio.

Don't give up on Hoster, as some versions back, it was endowed with the ability to automatically DETECT and RENAME the older MTU .cdg format files to a .bin extension (they are basically identical format files), which can be converted to a KMA file in Hoster with the Import Songs menu > Import hard drive files command > .BIN "Type" button. The "detection" we use is quite sophisticated and will be accurate on all MTU .cdg files that are at least 10 seconds playing time.
