If I can give my assessment, Dale is trying to keep the discussions on topic, which was started by Stefan's discussion of "running on battery power". I don't think Dale was criticizing your posts. Often Dale and I only quote (or don't quote any) the last post to answer. I see Dale's post being more general than just answering your post.

This established the Topic for this Thread.

Dale has been an active Beta Tester for some time. He has watched MTU engineers try "this and that", and seen the results of all the testers. He understands Hoster and its evolution very well. We have tried to work around poorly performing systems, with mixed results. Most often, after wasting MTU's and our Tester's time, we revert back to a requirement for a hardware system that is able to do the job.

Dale's several decades as a Technical Support expert for the Air Force, through actual hands on of over 6,000 computers if I remember right, allows him to be aware of things like this that even MTU would not consider.

This is an accurate statement. It also is driving the latest evolution in processor designs, as everyone now wants a laptop or netbook or... iPad. Due to heat and battery power savings requirements, Laptops are handicapped versus larger cased systems.

I too have never heard of a warranty that restricts mobile use. I can't imagine a manufacturer stating this in writing. If o, stop looking at it and leave that store... they are WAY out of touch with reality.
Thank you for pointing out that Dell has this warranty limitation. I'm shocked...

but that is why we sell our Ruggedized Laptop designed for Mobile Karaoke Hosts.
If I may add... this Thread has run its course of Problem-Discussions--Answer. Dale and I will leave it open a while longer, but probably will close it tonight ot tomorrow.
