Have you tried going into tools>options and towards the bottom it says playback offset. You may have to play with it a little, but choose a negative number to make the words highlight sooner, and a positive number to make them highlight later. The same thing happen to me. Usually the first song plays fine, then the second or third song will be out of sync, (behind). I fiddled with it and finally settled on -0.5 which corrected all my sync problems. Hope this helps. By the way, it happened the same way with me when I upgraded to Win7. When you restart Hoster the words are in sync. I didn't realize this until I played at one of my venues, and all night long I had to restart Hoster after every song so the words would be in sync for the singers. But try what I suggested, it worked for me.
