" adobe 7 is not able or capable of running a dual monitor/display" (or something like that )..this is the first time i run into this kind of error msg..any ideas?

Did you right click on desktop, and go to propertys and settings,
and make sure extend my desktop was checked.

Have you updated video card drivers from manufactures website, and checked card settings.
also all windows updates from custom update.

there's an application called Windows Update Downloader (WUD) that you can use to get updates when you aren't able to connect to the update service for whatever reason. maybe it could help?

Is the extended desktop showing on your Tv/monitor? if not, your computer graphic card is not detecting your tv. I had the same problem with my Hp laptop, at first it detect my tv/monitor and all of sudden just go black. Would not even flick my tv when I set the extended desktop. Hp have to fixed my graphic card. Try another pogram like winamp and if you have video file you should be able to put the video screen on the TV/Monitor. If same result, your graphic might the culprit.
