HELLO BOB COX,
THANX FOR REPLYING TO MY QUESTION ON LOUD BEEP. ACTUALLY I WAS ADVISED NOT TO USE VISTA, SO I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW DELL VOSTRO 1500 WITH WINDOWS XP HOME, AND DISABLED EVERY SOUND ON THE LIST. THAT IS WHY I DONT KNOW WHERE THIS NEW LOUD BEEP IS COMMING FROM EVERYTIME I CORRECT OR CHANGE ANYTHING IN THE EDIT SONGS AREA AND HIT APPLY. :? THERE IS NO OTHER SOUND AVAILABLE ON THE LIST TO DISABLE. SURELY THEIR MUST BE SOMETHING I CAN DO TO GET RID OF THIS ANNOYING BEEP. :m

Control panel, sounds & audio devices.
sound sceme, no sounds.
That should do it. Bob

Hi DennisF
The sound you hear is normal when editing songs. As you would not use this feature while performing a show it should not matter. If you find it annoying just turn your volume down while editing songs. If you notice a spelling mistake while performing a show use the Mark song feature next to the Mux buttons where you can type a tempory note and correct them at your leisure after the show.

I TRIED EVERYTHING TO NO AVAIL. THE BEEP WILL NOT GO AWAY. SO I WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT. THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR HELP.:g I GUESS IT IS PART OF THE HOSTER OPERATING SYSTEM,MABE THEY WILL GET RID OF IT IN ONE OF THE FUTURE UPGRADES.THEY HAVE BIGGER ISSUES TO DEAL WITH LIKE "v i s t a" I KNOW WHAT A NIGHTMARE THAT IS. BUT MTU ROCKS AND SO DOES THE FORUM. THANKS EVERYONE....:)

I usually go to the "windows/media" and delete all the sounds but the battery warnings. Does the trick for me, and if I can get one more kma track because of it so much the better.

To get rid of it you'll have to talk to Bill Gates as it's part of Windows not Hoster. That's why you need to do as Bob suggested and turn off all sounds or just the sound you don't want or if your computer has some sort of default buzzer when a sound is turned off you can create a silent sound and replace the one you don't want to hear.

If it is the default buzzer most computers now have that "speaker" attached with wires to the motherboard. Just pull it off and never hear it again.:g
