MTU's certified DVD/CD Kangaru burner

I am using Microstudio version 2.604 & I was using a Plextor MTU certified CD burner. I just purchased a new DVD/CD certified burner from MTU. I shows up on Microstudio as not Karaoke ready, so it won't read my discs. Does anyone know why?

We test every drive we ship so it was working when it left MTU.

This vendor changed the drive they use in their USB case. We started having 30-40% failures and have now discontinued using them.

The only explanation I can give is your drive may have failed.

Normally you should go to the http://www.mtu.com/ site, click the "Support" button, and click the "Web Email Form". Fill out all the fields and select SUPPORT department.

Post as much as you know about the drive;

Did it ever appear on the Microstudio drive list?

If so, how long before it stopped?

Have you tried burning with it anyway?

What were the results?

etc.

The more we know the faster we can solve the problem. It may be a failed disc that would be under warranty.

Could it be that the new drive isn't supported in a Microstudio version (2.604) that old?
