I'm a new user!, Just got the Hoster Lite would like to know how to bring up a list under my name. That I can just type in my name and all the songs that I sing come up. Then I can scroll and pick from that. Thanks!

Are you going to be the only user or will others be singing during the same session?
If you are going to be the only singer then yes you can "Save" a playlist with all your songs on it and then all you have to do is open it and select the one you want to sing.
If you are going to be part of a rotation, then no this won't work currently.

New to Hoster

I have alot of karaoke cd's that I would like to put on this Hoster Lite, but I personally only use a portion of the songs that would be downloaded. What I would like to have is a database developed specifically listing the songs that I use that I can pull up seperately from the complete list of songs but yet, my family and friends would use the general search they would like.

Just make a playlist of all songs you sing, click save as, type, example, "Cherie Song, click save to Hoster playlist. Recall at any time
Muzicman

She may be talking about being able to search and locate any songs that she sings and bring them up into the present list? If so, what I do is to edit in (add) "my name" in parenthesis to the beginning of the brand name. Then at any time when in the search screen, type "my name", and all your songs will show up there. And you will be able to bring them into the list at that point, although one at a time.

You will first have to go into the edit songs feature to do this to the brand name.

I agree, with the above. Here is what I do, I use "Swany" behind the artist as there is no other Swany in my complete library it comes up easily. When I search I use title artist and brand to make it easier to pick the right brand for others that sing in my gigs. So if you have a unique name that will make it easy to edit especially if you like to sing one particular artist, because in edit if you ask for that artist they all come up. I like to sing, Cash, Jones so it was easier for me. Do have fun.

I simply save a playlist of what i sing in abc order. After bringing it to the Hoster screen, I minimize that screen, bring up another hoster screen for other singers. When i sing, i simply restore my playlist, sing, then minimize it again to continue show. This keeps me from having to use the search for a song everytime, plus my key changes, if any, are also stored, so i don't have to remember what key i may use in that song. Saves time. I have had as many as five playlist minimized at one time for various reasons. Works great for me

I Also Do As Muzicman. If You Always Have A File Of What You Sing Then You Don't Have To Lookup Again And The Key Changes Are Already There Too. I Even Have Files For People Who Are Regulars At Shows Of What They Like To Sing.

Does Anyone Know How If There Is A Way To Put Songs In Alphabetical Order In Playlist?

The only way to do it would be to add them to the playlist in alphabetical order or manually move them in the list to do it.

Hoster 4.00x will have a new Singers Database. This will allow you, the Host, to create Singer names (probably first+last), then add songs under that Singer that they sing, including Key change, and Tempo change once we release it in 4.000.

That is exactly what cherie1 needs.

However... this is not planned to be a Hoster Lite feature... only in Hoster full release. :s

I just thought of a question on that?

When you do this, when you pull up a song from the singer's database, will there be a space to type in a "name" in case you just want the first name, and not the name as given in the database (first and last), or will the song be automatically loaded with both names in this case. Just curious?

You won't pull up a song in the Singer's Database.

You'll pull up a SINGER, and their listed songs will appear in a second window. You click the one you want to add to the Playlist, and add it.

The added "Singer name" field content will be the name in the Singers Database record. I don't see how we can do otherwise without gumming up the works beyond ease of use. We don't have 2 fields for the Singer's name; it is one that is searched on.

I see, that'll still work fine now that I think about it some more. I sort of do that now when a singer wants to sing along with an audio mp3, I bring up the audio song, then type the name over into the singer's column.
