3.318 Demo hangs during import

Hi,

Everytime I try to batch import .zip's (MP3 + CDG) from the harddrive, Hoster Demo hangs. By hangs I mean, the windows hour glass comes up and sits there until Hoster goes into 'Program Not Responding.'

I would like to know this can be resolved before I dump $200 into it.

What operating system?
Have you done all the updates from Microsoft?
By this I mean going to Microsoft's Update web page and doing the Custom Update, downloading and installing all of them. In the Auto Update or Express Update the only things installed are those deemed by Microsoft to be critical security updates and this does not install everything you need.

Hello again....

Yes, my Windows updates should be complete. OS is XP SP2.

I may have figured out that my initial problem was caused by a CD label (JPG) residing in the same folder as the zip's. I haven't been able to duplicate the original 'hanging up' since moving those JPG's from the folders.

Now, after importing the first folder (15 tracks) and attempting to import the second folder (anoter 15 tracks), I seem to be trapped in a never-ending loop. I get a pop-up box that says 'This demo version only supports a 20 song database. The full version is unlimited.' I Click the OK button and the box returns, over and over again. Nothing I do makes it stop.

That is the restriction on the DEMO. To Import more than 20 you will have to buy and install the full version.

That sounds like a glitch in the demo. Shouldn't it close when you click OK ?

If not it needs to.

mY GUESS IS HE WILL GET AT LEAST 10 ERROR MESSAGES AS IT GOES THROUGH THE REMAINING 10 SONGS THAT COULD NOT IMPORT?

Sorry about the caps George, I didn't realize it was on.:g

Bet you're right. I guess I was thinking in terms of importing a single track:e
