I picked a nice day to respond, 62 and raining in Howard City, Mich near the western middle of the mitten. Supposed to get down in the 30s tonight but all the snow got rained out. We did have tornado warnings and hail, and thunder storms last night tad unseasonal for this time of the year. Call Al Chicken Little Gore the sky was falling in the form of round ice cubes.

Wind chill is NOT the same as the real temp...That's what really counts !!!!!!

What's the real temp. PLAIN AND SIMPLE..

Here in Maine it is 15 below zero ..with or without wind.

Tain't necessarily so. I'd lots rather stand outside in twenty below and no wind, than zero with twenty mile an hour winds blasting away at me.

Why do the weather folks always say something like "temperatures will be near zero, but better bundle up as the wind chill is expected to be around minus fifteen"...that's what really counts.

It's really all a matter of perspective, so grant Cerealkiller the right to express his without ragging on him.

Yeah, George, guess you're right. Didn't intend to rag, sorry to cereal. I guess my point really was "When it gets minus 20 here there is also wind here too, and wind makes that effect you speak on organisms that generate their own heat, but no effects on inanimate objects.
