mixergetlineinfo:error
 

I just loaded microstudio on my new laptop with vista to an external hard drive and loaded a disk of songs and every time I try to play a song I get this error message mixergetlineinfo, any ideas thanks

why do you have mstudio on an external drive ? , it's better to have it on your internal drive..theres been so much questions about that problem and no one seems to know what the solution is..i for one has the same problem, and no one can solve it so i kinda put it the back burner..

Don't assume a new laptop is current regarding the updates needed to run all programs. Go to the below link and update Windows.

Use CUSTOM not EXPRESS update and take everything offered. Microsoft has their own ideas regarding what updates are necessary. Make certain to get .NET FRAMEWORK, as it is essential for running Microstudio.

just found out the reason why i was getting this error msg,if anyone here has a laptop/pc with windows media center edition ,here are some of the products that will not work with windows xp media center edition
degi design pro tools ( all version )
all m-audio software and hardware
all steinberg software
cakewalk sonar ( all version )
lexicon omega/alpha/lambda (which i have )
all tascam software and hardware
