What CD-R drive are you using?
What version of Microstudio do you have?
What brand of Karaoke CD are you trying to copy?

It seems to me that if you can't see any CD in this drive, that the drive may not be installed in the computer correctly. Is this a new drive that you purchased from us or somewhere else? Has the drive ever worked in this computer? There are some drivers for the Via Chipset motherboards that Plextor states can cause this problem on there website. Here is the link to there FAQ Page that explains this possible problem: http://www.plextor.com/english/suppo...enabledma.html

this burner was purchased from mtu about july or august and has worked great(over 500 disks copied) but the error just started a week ago when i turned on the computer.

This could possibly mean that the drive is dying or has started to give you a problem. You might want to try calling Plextor's tech support, they will beable to run you through some tests to find out for sure it if is the drive for sure and how to get an RMA for it. We can do the RMA, but it is faster through Plextor, since you don't have to ship to us then we forward it to them.

EEKABUG,

Did you resolve your problem and how? I have one disk that will not load, yet plays fine in the Karaoke player.
