When you play the songs in Microstudio are you importing them first or are you playing them directly from the CD?
My first thought is go to Plextor web site and make sure you have the latest firmware for that drive. |
importing
im inporting the disk into micro studio first quit useing the plextor now useing the cd drive on my laptop records songs on hoster fine but still have problem with screen going blank then error message apears display drive nvlddmkm stoped responding and has recovered this only happen when importing disk in hoster does not bother the recording import but have to close hoster before i can edit song or review new song imported on hoster what could be causeing the display driver to keep stoping and recover i updated the driver

i would go to nvidia and update drivers.
and go to hp and get all updates for that computer. make sure you have all windows updates. |
update driver
got latest video driver latest hp updates & latest windows vista updates still after about 10 min importing cd+g into hoster screen goes blank then reappears with error message display driver stoped responding and recovered

Since you are only importing and not playing the songs, I don't think Hoster is causing this. You may not have seen it in other programs yet, but I have a feeling you will if you run them long enough.
You may have a video memory problem. HP should have a diagnostic that you can download and run to check the hardware. |
hp
i called hp again there sending me a box by fed ex to send back the notebook they want to look at the motherboard they think it may be a video card going bad not sure buy will delay my adding songs to my notebook a couple weeks thanks for the help
the weird thing is after i iimport a cd+g when i get the message that display driver has stopped responding and recovered i have to close reopen hoster the cd+g i imported plays fine under hoster or useing hoster tool edit song i can go to book id example book id 10 look at every song under that book id 1001-1012 they all play fine no trouble cant figure it out just when im importing about half way thru disk i get the error message let it complete the import then restart hoster look up the book id for the disk it plays all kma fine puzzled |
