Have you checked Microsoft updates? Could be something there might help and there have been some recent updates.

Did you try the Detect Again button for the default drives? May just have to locate it again.
Try installing again the last firmware update you did. Should just over write with the same data and might trigger it to show.

Please download the new 3.318 installation program. Read this Thread for directions: http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?t=9625.

We don't want any of the "old" 3.318 out there.

However, the problem you are reporting was not worked on in the new 3.318. I've emailed our lead programmer to review your thread. We'll be interested to see if anyone else reports the same problem.

If you can give us what Windows you are running, and the exact steps you use to create the problem, we'll hunt it down.

i'm using windows xp media edition, prior to downloading the new version on my back-up laptop, everything was working fine, importing singers disc was not a problem, but since i downloaded the new version i played a song on my playlist and imported a singers disc while the song was playing, the song started to slow down, stuttered, audio started to wobble ( like a battery thats running out of juice) but if i cancell the import , audio goes back to normal, i uninstall the 3.318 went back to 3.317 i now get the same result, wobbled, stuttered..i updated the firmware, i still get the same result..

If you have it you could try restoring your computer back to a date just prior to installing 3.318 and that should put you back to the original settings for 3.317.
If no restore point is close to that date then you need to completely uninstall Hoster and re-install with either the fixed (re-download it) 3.318 or 3.317 which ever you want to use. By this I mean you will have to go through the registry and delete the items in there for Hoster too. Also delete all the items in the Hoster folder under Program files except any KMA files if you have them in the Songs folder.
That should allow you to install 3.317 and be back where you were or try the new 3.318 and see if the same thing happens.
