upgrade help

Hello, I have just upgraded from V3.314 to 3.317 via internet download. It is my 1st download. My question is; how do I USE the new version? When hoster opens, does it automatically look for the newest version? Do I have to delete the old version? Do I have to re-register the newer version? I know in some other types of program upgrades, the new version erases the old version, but I did not see that while downloading this hoster upgrade. Any suggestions/help will be appreciated.

When you downloaded it did you click on the "Run" button or the "Save" button?
If you Saved the download then you will have to find the file you saved and double click on it to install the new version. This is preferred since you then have a copy of the install program to use in case of a problem.
If you clicked on Run then you need to go back and get the download again to save a copy of it for future use.
When you install the update you can either "UPDATE" or "REMOVE". If you update then it installs the updated files over the old files. If you remove then it deletes the old files and when you run the install again it will install a clean new set of files. Either way the old version is overwritten with the new version files so the old version is no longer installed. Since you have a previous version the only thing that should come up blank would be to add a "Computer Name" (this helps MTU identify which registration to reset if needed in the future).
