Downloads, suggestions?
Hi, I am new to this forum and need all of the good advice I can get.
I am considering purchasing hoster or something of that nature. Honestly though, all of this sounds like Chinese to me. I have been working from cd's for years and plan to go digital. I do not do karaoke shows for other people to sing, so I am not sure if hoster is necessary. I sing for my own show and would like to play pre-created shows as well as eventually take requests. A key changer is a necessity for me and I would like to downlaod music from a relaible site for the songs I don't already have. Any suggestions on a site? Did I read that Hoster comes with access to 27,000 songs? If so, how do I acccess them? Lastly, I am working from a new vista laptop (I know, I hear they are a nightmare but I had no choice). It was able to run the demo with a few glitches, but it could have een 'user error' too. PLEASE HELP. I would like to get this figured out and do my Christmas show from my laptop. Like Smokey and he Bandit sang.....'I have a long way to go and a short time to get there'. :? |
hoster does not come with any music. it has access to a database for your cd-g's so you dont have to type all the fields in when importing them.
do yourself a favor and look no further, BUY HOSTER and you wont regret it. |
Also suggest you read post #19 of the following thread before thinking about downloading Karaoke files.

Beavis is 100% correct, however, obtaining 27, 000 songs will cost you (@.50 to $1 each) around 15 to 20 thousand dollars.
Most of us carry between 5 and 10 thousand but have been collecting and searching for discounts for years. But for less than a thousand dollars, good starter sets with up to 3000 songs can be obtained from the major manufacterers for less than 1000 bucks. |
