Cannot install - no computer name field
 
To all,
I can't seem to install this program...when I get to the screen that ask for Registration Email / Registration Code...there is no field for the Computer Name...the words Computer Name are there but no place to put the information....help..

Yep...I'm online..actually posting from the computer I'm trying to install it on.

Any more thoughts?

Beavis,

Yep...did that...I saw that in the instruction here it was HIGHLY suggested that before installation all OPTIONAL Updates were applied so I did that too.

Other thoughts?

maybe you have a bad download from MTU. go redownload it.

what version is it

Install file has 3317 in it.

i didnt know until now that MTU relased that version.

i never got a link to download it.

i would go redownload it again. what size was the file ??

Is this the first one of the MTU programs you have installed that requires the Computer Name? If not then the entry is already there (maybe greyed out to where you can't see it). Once you have given MTU a computer name that info is stored along with name, address, etc. in a file MTU adds to your computer.

I just d/l the same file and tried to install it. Same problem..no field to put the computer name in.

First program / nothing there thats greyed out / the field doesnt even exist / I'm attaching a pic so you can see what I mean.

I would suggest you submit a web support email from the MTU web site Support page, so they can check it out. Could be a flaw in the installer file. I got my copy directly from MTU as a beta tester and it does work. Could be something changed before release.

Looks like a problem with the install wizard. I'd redownload and try again.

Lamennoodle,
I have just emailed you a new file to download. It was sent to your Hotmail account.

This will fix this problem. The install was updated and it is now fixed, so anyone having this same problem, just redownload Hoster Lite 3.317.
