Anyone Use "TriceraSoft"?
I read in some other threads about Tricerasoft, so I gave it is shot. Problem I am having is most of the songs will not be read by Hoster and some will. It imports but does not dump in the KMA song folder??? Is it somthing to do with the way they name the files, they are only naming the files with "title" only (at least most of the files I pulled).
Can I remane them in a normal format and not hurt the file? Cableguy |
They were probably zipped with max compression. Unzip and rezip with Windows with standard compression (I think standard is what windows will do by default) or use Songverter to unzip and rezip.
You can rename the zip file for importing purposes, you do not have to rename the contents and it will not harm the files at all. Sam |
Thx Sam.....I will try it.

I've used Tric... to rip the 'MediaCloq' discs from Sound Choice. It took almost an hour PER song - 15 hours PER disc approx (about 10 discs I had with the MC encoding), but each one was ripped perfectly into a bin file (ONLY thing was it added about a minute to 2 minutes of silence at the end of each song) then imported into Hoster fine - with the silence at the end, no big deal if you use the program manually, it auto mode, it would suck!

Hey Lonman, I am changing my thread a little. Does Hoster (lite) have a way to run music between singers (automatically)?
I use another program to host my shows, I use all other MTU products except Hoster, for now. My present program allows me to have a play list in the back ground and it fades into this list as each singer finishes their song, then it fades out as a new singer begins. I am trying out Hoster lite and I like it, but does Hoster lite do this too? Cableguy |
Niether Hoster or Hoster Lite do this. It has been suggested and as far as I know it is still up for future consideration.
Most of the guys use a DJ program (various ones) to play music in between singers at this time. |

As far as dj/fill, I just use a separate program for that Otsdj that is constantly running in the background & I fade up that fader when I need music & fade it out when I don't. |
Thanks Guys....appreciate your help!!!

Use Songverter to convert those extra 2-minute KMAs to MP3+G. Then, use an Audio Editer to delete the extra time...be sure to leave 5-10 seconds. Convert the MP3+G to BIN and re-import via the HD. Track will Show and Play the correct time. Takes about 5 minutes to do. |
