MixerGetLineInfo: Error

I am running microstudio on Vista Home and keep getting the following error message everytime I put a song into the playlist. MixerGetLineInfo: Error. I did not have this problem in the demo. I just recently purchased this and already problems. Any help would be appreciated.

Where is the support for the product!!

I am new to microstudio, very new, only like 2 days new. I can't believe that someone else has this issue and no one can help. It is very annoying and is definitely in the 4003 version. like I said, no problem in the demo before I bought it. Is there anyone that knows whats going on?
Thank you!

Billyo didn't mention but his problem was generated from a Lamda studio recording device. As soon as he took that device off the computer it works. He was also running XP and not Vista. Also his error message was different in that it was mixergetlinecontrol:invalidparameterpassed which doesn't refer to the same thing. So Billyo you have a similar problem, but not the same.

So, first thing is we need to know what equipment you have especially if you have any addon or external equipment. Is it a laptop or desktop? What sound card do you have and is it internal or external?

Second so we cover all bases, have you done all the updates from Microsoft? By this I mean have you done a Custom update and loaded all. Auto update and Express update do not load everything you need.

If you have more than one sound card you can try this:
Click the Tools menu, Record Settings... command. You CAN select the audio card Microstudio uses.

it's not really someone elses fault, i think it has something to do with the sound card..
