Video Dropout & Error Message 32

Hello, I have two problems, First I have the current version of hoster, and a gateway laptop.

I tried to delet a song from hoster and got a error message statuse 32

Second Problem is Video is dropping out for about 3 seconds maybe twice a night. And the music never stops but the video on the laptop and tv goes black., and them come right back up like nothing happend. I thought it might be a screen saver, but I turned it off.

If the song you were trying to delete was used in the current playlist, then you will get an error message and you cannot delete it.

The video drop out is most likely a problem within the video card, but could also be system resources. Is this a recent problem or been going on for a while?

This is a new computer, so it's new. I thopught it might be the video card or system resorces too. LOL now what can I do about it. or is there anything i can do other than installing a new video card.

I haven't added anything to the computer and I only run two programs hoster and itunes. I've defraged & disk cleanup, and try to close any program I'm not using

And yes the song was in the play list so I deleted it off the playlist and then tried to delete it off the system again and got: Cannot delete status=32

Thanks, Tim

Have you turned off hibernation? Just a thought.

For the delete close Hoster and re-open it with an empty playlist, then delete the song.

Is this a laptop or desktop?
What video card and video memory amount?
What OS? How much memory?

Update

Ok, deleting the song is working fine now, just had to close hoster and reopen.

As for the other prob....I turned off the hibernation and screen saver. Still having the blackout problem. Any other suggestions?

Thanks, Tim

You may have already done this, but the first thing I did was to go through the Hoster Manual and make all suggested changes. There are several that could affect this. Power Management, display settings, etc.... Good Luck!!:)

We're all still waiting to see these answers.... :w

They may give us a hint how to diagnose this unique problem you have. More data, better answers.

This is a laptop:
Aspire 5570
CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080
Ram: 1024MB DDR2 Ram
HDD: 120Gb
Video Card: Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family
vista Home Pro

Since it is a laptop then there is no way to change the video card.:f
The only other thing I can think of right now would be the power settings (Control Panel/ Power Options). Set it to never turn off the monitor when on AC power. If a song is long enough and you aren't moving the mouse or typing Windows will blankout the screen to save power.

That was the first thing I checked, and of course is was set to turn off. So i changed it and it's still blacking out ever once in a while. I guess I'll just have to live with it LOL.
