Should I Buy a Laptop from MTU?

MTU advertises a "Hoster Ruggedized Laptop Computer" for $2299.00. I would like to hear from anyone who has purchased this laptop or the non-ruggedized one from MTU and your critique on the hardware. Do you consider this to be a worthwhile purchase or would you recommend a different laptop? Is there a return policy if a customer is not satisfied? What kind of warranty comes with it? I like the Dual Display ATI Video Card feature, but I would prefer XP professional for the OS. Most of the other features are what I would be looking for in a new laptop, although the extra 600 bucks for the for the ruggedized version seems a little pricey. Let me know what you think please.

I use a rack mount computer that MTU built and it's rock solid. Four years, four to five nights a weeks with not one problem.

I would think that MTU had a reason for charging the extra $600 you speak of. Based on my experience with MTU built products, if it was not worth the money MTU would not have it available.

I Hope This Helps!

And it will be XP rather than Vista.

Tell them you want Internet Explorer 6 on it also.

A good share of the problems being attributed to Vista are built into Explorer 7, and is bundled with Vista.

I know from a bad experience with E7, and when I reported the problems on the forums everybody thought I was having an isolated case. Turns out as Vista is becoming more popular, the same problems are surfacing, mainly being denied access to folders, programs, etc.
