problem with hoster durabook laptop

a friend of mine that bought the hoster durabook laptop was about to do her show last night called me and told me that there is no audio coming out of her laptop, and also told me that there was audio the night before..so i had to go to her show and see what the problem was.after checking all the cables , mixing board , speakers, etc..i finally checked the audio setting on the laptop..i found out that the mute button was checked..so i unchecked it , but when i closed after doing the audio setting , still no audio, so i went back to the audio setting..the mute button was on mute again....so i unchecked it , this went on for about 15 min.so i just minimized the control panel..and everything went fine after that..any reason why everytime i closed the audio setting, it will mute itself back..

None from Hoster that is for sure. Hoster doesn't control any audio settings. What did she do with/on the laptop between the two shows?

When I first started, the same happened to me a couple of times and I found out it was that little speaker icon in the lower right; when you left click on it, it would show a volume bar, and that volume defaulted all the way down for some reason. Never figured out why but now I always check it before every show or any time I need to use audio.

i checked that too, and the volume was all the way up, which i know for a fact caused i raised the volume up myself, before i found out that there was a volume control infront of the laptop when we tried to use the laptop the first time, but anyway hopefully she shoudnt have anymore problems..
