That could be a sync problem between the TV and the computer output. Problem could be in RF converter or even the mixer if you are using one.

oh ok..but the thing is i am not using a rf converter, my laptop is plugged in directly from my laptop video out to video in of my tv..and not sure about the mixer..i am not using a video mixer..using a audio mixing board ( mackie board ) the only thing plugged into my mixing board is the headphone out of my laptop and 3 mics..and of course my mackie speakers..but it's not really a big deal, video and lyrics are in sync anyways..( i havent used this part of hoster ( video ) on my show yet.just trying iron out every problems the might occur..thanks for your help

Put of few of them on your internal HD and try it. If it no longer does this you'll know it's an issue with your external HD.

Sam

i tried your suggestion.. i loaded a whole vcd on my int. drive still the same..i guessed it's normal to have that small glitched before the video comes on ..just like i said its not really a big deal..everything is working great music and lyrics are in sync.

sounds like a lag in computer, processor, ect
make sure your video card has all updates. Bob

All three of those are different types of screen outputs, so kind of hard to compare for response.

just did my first vcd show last night, and i found out some things. i just found out that you can't delete a vcd/kma song on a playlist while a song is playing..and adding a vcd tract on a playlist while a song is playing stutters the audio for a mil of a second..i guessed this is normal..other than that the show was great.got some compliments..

This isn't necesarily normal.
Because video is a little more resource intensive than cdg type karaoke which only uses like 16 colors compared to video's bazillion colors, you do have a greater chance of a small audio drop using other functions
while a video is playing.
Not sure what to suggest to beef up to help, memory?, processor speed?, video card? etc.

I once had an Emachines desktop machine that would suffer a small audio drop about every 10th song looked up in the database or added to the playlist, by using the troubleshooting suggestions in the manual to shut off all the unnecesary stuff going on in Windows in background I eliminated 90% of the drops.

Don't know which version of Hoster you have but for about the last year there has been a "Delete" button you can use to remove things from the playlist while video's are playing.
