Hoster Lite Has No Song Book

You said Hoster Lite was just like Vedio Hoster, but when I tried to do a Song Book I was told that the song book was not available with Hoster Lite. Help!!

Thank You,
Roger Christian

Lite version of Hoster has only 1 download, and no song book capability.
thats why the lower price.
You will have to upgrade to full version to get song books.
Its worth the price. with two downloads you can have a backup on another machine + song books. Bob

Roger, I truly appreciate your pointing out the deficiency on our web site.

During a recent major upgrade to our web site, I accidentally did not upload the new Hoster page with the Lite feature chart at the bottom. I have just uploaded it. Please look at it now. The differences are also discussed in the manual.

If you want a refund, we'll grant it since you couldn't see the differences in the product sales page. Please read how to request a refund and follow the directions if that is what you want.

If you want to upgrade to the full version, we'll give you a $10.00 discount that is built into the $110 price to upgrade. Let us know in advance and we can do it before your credit card is processed.

Again, I apologize for my oversight, and your trouble. I hope you will decide to remain with us. :)

The Video Hoster Lite page now has a redirect script that takes you to the Video Hoster page. At the bottom of the page that I have now just uploaded, that was missing before, you can see the chart of what Lite does not have.

It is my mistake. Since Roger stated this in his very first post, it was the MTU Website that "said" this. :w

I further modified the Video Hoster page to include Video Hoster Lite, as suggested by George.

Further, in each feature paragraph I clearly state that the Lite version cannot or only or... to make it clear at "point of consideration" that the Lite version cannot do this.

Admin Look

Admin, this still is not showing the new page changes on the web site. ANd yes I did a refresh.

Hoster/Hoster Lite is very confusing starting with the first product screen right on through. Needs to be redone right from the beginning.

Thanks Dale! Don't know what happened! :?

MTU.com just got moved to a new dedicated server so we are on it all alone. Speed should be much faster now.

Only thing I can think of is I uploaded the new Video Hoster/Video Hoster Lite page (I KNOW I did!!!), and they did a backup or some such that replaced my new page.

I've re-uploaded it and verified it is there.

And what about this page, the one you see when you click on PRODUCTS?

Hoster Lite pricing is mentioned twice, but no product description what so ever, not even mentioned as Lite the first time, just the price.

http://www.mtu.com/index.htm

This is what you see in the Hoster product box:

"Hoster® Brand Software - Incredible efficiency running shows. Save 90% of your time, free to encourage singers and joke with your audience. $99.99, Professional $199.99"

To the reader it looks like Hoster is $99.99, but what is the Professional @ $199.99

To add to George's info, the Home and Products links are both the same.
http://www.mtu.com/index.htm Looks like the index page got overwritten with the products page.

Not here. Here's the URL I go to using the HOSTER button.

http://www.mtu.com/basics/karaoke-hoster.htm

Isn't the PRODUCTS button a 95% duplication of the individual products buttons anyway? I'd trashcan it and change the HOSTER button to read HOSTER/HOSTER LITE. May have to put the portfolio pricing box on each product page...dunno.

I was referring to the Home page. Which is http://www.MTU.com and sends you to the index page which isn't where it is going now. Right now it goes to the products page which lists all the products.

George July 13th, 2007 01:58 PM

OOOPS...my slip. You're right, same here.

Hey Guys... The INDEX and PRODUCTS links both go to the index.htm page! :r

No one mentioned it... but we abandoned the horizontal drop-down menu we had for about a month. Reason... it was 29KBytes added to every page. Thus, a 10KB page now becomes 39KBytes, and that was taking too long to download. The bloody menu ain't worth that cost!!! :f

So, I redesigned with no script - no frills - basic table menus. The top one appearing on every page is about 800 BYTES, and the lower one, that changes on each product group is about the same, with some variance (Microstudio is the longest and still under 1,000 BYTES).

The problem was once you were in a Product Group, some folks were having a problem getting back to the main Products link. All they had to do was click the Home link, but they weren't. Adding the Products button up top has not confused anyone, and only you two are even talking about it so far that I am aware.

I ask you to realize that we are doing a massive overhaul of our site - new dedicated server, new navigation, new content - and if you have suggestions, I'll entertain them in a separate thread, but not under Roger Christian's Thread. OK? :w

Not our doing. You crossed the line from the thread topic to website discussion back on post 7.

What private forum other than Beta is there to have interaction regarding these type of things?

Reinstate me and we'll continue there.

Just happen to be where it was discovered.:s
