Older Software New Problem

I have Hoster 3.303 and have been having no problems whatsoever.

Just the other day I burned a custom assembly disc from cdg files on my external hard drive with Microstudio 2.609 then added them to hoster by importing them from the disc. I did this with a PX4012 plextor MTU Certified Drive.

Before I imported the files I checked them by playing them in Microstudio to make sure they were good files. Then imported them in hoster.

When I played the files in hoster after import there was a rapid clicking sound with no graphics just a blank screen.

I have been doing this exact method for quite some time with no problems whatsoever. I imported discs just last week with no problems at all.

I considered a possible media problem but I'm using the same discs as before, and if it was bad media it would show up when I check the disc in microstudio.

Any ideas?

Heres an interesting twist. I deleted the files and reimported the disc on the latest release of hoster and they worked perfectly in that version. So I deleted them on the other system and copied the most recently imported files into the later version of hoster and they worked just fine.

I'm not sure what to make of this other than I will now use the newer version for updating songs. :r

Good thing I have 2 show systems!:g

Now all you need to do is update your Microstudio to the latest version and you can do so much more:g

Yeah it's a little harder to do that as the system is in use constantly. I rarely get it for maintenance. I use USB stick to update the songs and rebuild the database on site as it is a permanent installation. It's a MTU Portable PC and it has been flawless for just over 3 years now.

I wish they had wireless internet there I could just hook up a USB wireless device and handle it there.

Oh well
