I don't like the new update

been using mtu for a few years now and can appreciate your updates, but I WANT THE GENRE AND BRAND SEARCH ABILITY BACK!!! I am not so sure about the change in click-ability as well. you must double-click on the number to add to playlist. I always double clicked anywhere on the name/number and it went. speed is pretty important here in this business.:?

Which new update are you referring to? I've never used genre but I do occasionally use the brand search and as of 3.315 it works for me as well as double clicking anywhere on the selected line in the database search.

3.316 is the latest but it only has minor code changes to make it more compatable with Vista, but if that's the one you are using I'll upgrade and check it out.

The only thing 3.316 did was make changes for Vista. No changes to operation.

I am not sure what version you are talking about either as Brand and BookID are on the main screen and through the search screen (search button on main screen) all fields are available to search by.

As far as clickability, instead of double clicking on the individual entries you can either hit return after entering the name or hit the Add Track button. How much simpler could that be?

I personally prefer double clicking in the database search but as I noted in my earlier post you can double click any of the information fields to add the song to the playlist.

Also checked searching by genre and double checked searching by brand and they both worked as advertised.

Have you tried clicking on the Brand and Genre words...they are buttons. If that doesn't work then uninstall and re-install.
What version did you upgrade from?

there are no brand or genre words to click on. it was a free update that i evidently got into somehow recently. i dont use the karaoke computer on the internet unless i get an upgrade email. i was updating the antivirus, etc and when i reopened the hoster, the search screen had changed. ther is also no delete button anymore on the main screen.

Are you saying Hoster upgraded itself?

I would suspect you downgraded.

Go to the top of Hoster and click on "Help" and then click on "About Hoster" and see which version you have

I neverthought of that!!!! It says 3.000 and i would assume the upgrades would have been listed there.
So now, how do i get the newer versions back into my Hoster??:e

You could probably use "Restore" to bring it back although that very well might undo your antivirus upgrades and any other changes you've made since then.

If you've still got the setup file from your previous version you could probably reinstall with it . Depending on the version # it might require you to be online or use a memory stick to install it.

You could get a support ticket to get a new setup file but I think you would have to get the latest upgrade which (again depending on the version you had before) might be a paid upgrade. Worth the money in my opinion.

That is very interesting considering there is no auto-upgrading in any MTU program. Did you perhaps restore your computer to a previous date?
And I guess you don't have a saved copy of the 3.300 installation file? If not then you will probably have to upgrade to 3.316. To do that you will have to submit a Support Ticket from the MTU website to request a link for the update. It should be free since 3.3 was your last version.
