Reset Password Not Working?

I doubt this is the correct place to post this but I can't seem to get my new password emailed to me in the MTU store.

I may have screwed this up by hitting it twice after I didn't receive a new password within 5 minutes of making my first request.

Beavis May 16th, 2007 06:44 PM

are you sure its not being blocked ?

SteveD May 16th, 2007 06:56 PM

Don't think it is being blocked

I just got a notice that you replied to this posting so I believe it isn't being blocked. I had it sent to my Hotmail account, can't change email accounts it is being sent to as I can't log in to do so.

Beavis May 16th, 2007 07:36 PM

it has to be the original address you signed up with

SteveD May 17th, 2007 05:56 PM

Locked out

I believe it is, is there some way somebody from MTU can send me my new password?

George May 17th, 2007 07:32 PM

Go to the support center and submit a ticket

SteveD, I can trigger the Forum script to send you a new password, but we can't see them and can't create them. As soon as you click the link to have it create and send you a new password, to my knowledge it is sent within seconds. BTW: No well-intended Internet resource will email the same password over the unsecured Internet.

If you need your email changed, best thing is to create a Support Ticket where you can tell us the email you want to use in the Forums. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND it be the same email you bought with at the store because that is how we find your database record of what you own, RegCodes, etc. when you need support.

I did put in a ticket but have heard nothing back

This is driving me crazy, I put in a ticket and still have not heard anything. I really need to get in and upgrade one of my systems before I need to use it again. Could somebody from MTU please call me so we can resolve this?

Have you checked the status of the ticket in the support center? They may have already answered you. If the support center reports no ticket, then you didn't complete the process for submission. Essentially the first time you hit submit it lists several knowledge base articles that may be of help. At the bottom of that list is the submit button which you must hit again.

Last week we modified the Support Center script so it no longer displays matching articles. When you click the Submit button, it is now submitted. You don't need to click Submit twice any longer.

My ticket was submitted

My ticket was submitted I just have not received a response.:m

SteveD May 25th, 2007 02:31 PM

I submitted a ticket to MTU No Action

:m I submitted a ticket on Monday, it shows it was viewed but I have had no action taken. I am still locked out of my store account and can do nothing without someone taking action. Sending a new password to the existing email account on file is not working.

I have been trying to get this resolved since last friday. I need my laptop working for a Saturday show. I REALLY NEED SOME HELP.

Are you using a different email address from when you first registered/purchased your programs? If so then your store account would still be set for the old email address which would be why you are not getting the password reset, which is automatic. You may need to send (in a ticket) the old email address and have them update your account to your current email address.
