External Hard Drive
Hi, thankyou for the last help i revieved from my thread posted 9/5/07, my problem solved.
My question today is, i have an external hard drive that i have put onto my computor for the sole purpose of putting all my files for cdg, & vcd, imported tracks to. I do not want to store them on my internal hardrive. I have many vcd tracks to load into the bin file, & many cdg tracks, can this be done seeing as the hoster software is installed onto my internal hard drive? Will hoster allow me to designate the external hard drive i want for my cdg files and vcd bin files to be stored on, & not also go automaticaly to the internal c drive? I am feeling quite nervous about getting started as i have never worked with any project this big on the computor before and i am wantng to make sure i do it correctly as there are quite a few thousand songs to be put to hoster. Thankyou very much if someone can help with this. Regards Svendsen |
Copy all of those KMA and VCD files to your external drive (copy is better than move in case of problems). In fact I would copy the folders they are currently in to the external drive to keep them organized.
In Hoster you have a couple of things to set. On is the rebuild database directory. This will need to be changed to the folder on the external drive and then rebuild. Second open the import from CD tool and change the "Save to Folder" to the same folder as the database setting. That way when you import CDG files from a CD it willsend them to the external drive. |
