Limit of songs?

I have plenty of room on my hard drive, but everytime I import a new CDG to KMA files in Hoster 3.316-it maxes out my songlist at 550 songs! When I add new songs-it still shows the number to be 550, and then I realize that older ones I have imported are now not showing up, but the new ones do. What can I do to make the songs stay put, and be able to add new ones? I should have over 900, and I still am stuck at 550?! Thanks, JB

There is no reason why you are stuck at 550.

Where do you get that number from.

Are you usiing Vista? I've noticed it has a nasty habit of hiding some of my songs as well as other files although they still show up in the database and play.

Have you tried rebuilding the database?

Sam

Are you sure you have imported them all into the same folder? Go to the folder and see how many files are listed. If there are more than 550 then rebuild database and see if that helps.

550 songs

I have checked the file where all the songs go, and it says 550, so I rebuilt the database, and still 550!! I'm not using Vista-using XP. HELP! JB

If the total count in that folder is 550 then the rest of your files are located somewhere else. Do a search in windows explorer and find the other folder. You can then add the other folder path in the rebuild database or copy/move all the song files together into one folder.

Thanks Doug-I will try that! JB

Did you use Microstudio to create the CDG files?

If not, are they MP3 + CDG type CDG files? If so, these only contain the lyrics/graphics data, without the audio. This may be creating bad KMA files that are causing a limit problem. However, I'm pretty sure we added error checking to prevent selecting an MP3+G type CDG file. What are you using?

Limit of songd

My files are all from C D & G cd's-no MP3's. I just convert them into KMA's using this program. I merged a CD yesterday, and it actually showed a count of 560 songs (I added 10) instead of the usual 550, but when I created a songbook list-it came on and said that "no songs were added to the database" and that it woulf only be printing 550 songs! I'm getting closer to figuring this out, but not quite!!? Any more suggestions? JB

If you added another CD then it should have a bookid. Are you able to play the new songs?

error message

I tried to install Hoster 316, and everytime it starts to download-I get an error message 0f "Error 0x80040703-Failed to find DLL function:ismtu set product" Does anyone know what this means? I have updated all windows files, and even ordered the Hoster cd, and it still fails! Thanks! JB

This would indicate there may be an update missing.

Did you do a "Custom" or "Express" update? You need to do the custom update to get everything as the express update is only items deemed critical by Microsoft.

thanks

OK, I am trying that now. JB
