Tempo Control

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Tempo control is getting to be THE BIGGIE these days. Seems the "older folks" want the songs slowed down so they can read the words and respond in time. You can't believe how many are "way behind" even when they know the song. They just "remember it being slower" (or their brains are slower). Either way, you have to give the audience what they want.

Looking forward to the next version.

Best,
bob...

Yeah, at 59 and counting, I understand how "their brains are slower". Pay attention how they handle it with grace. You too will be there one day. :t

We are scheduled to start coding Tempo Control this week. It will appear in Hoster 4.0, and Vogone 4.0 out some time this summer... Lord willing and the Hurricanes don't blow us away. :c

Thanks for answering Dale.

Tempo Control

Hi Dale,

Don't I know it... 63 next week. I am a "Rock Generation Drummer!" Had my own band since the 5th grade, was on the "Buddy Dean Show" with my band and put myself through college (U of Maryland - Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Computer Science) using band money and even cut an album with Jerry Lee Lewis' cousin and hit 26 in National ratings according to CashBox Mag... back in the 70's. Cool times.

Still playing drums and doing Karaoke... not at the same time!!!

Looking forward to Tempo Control in 4.0!!!

Best,
bob...

56 here, 57 on August 4th. Played in band from 1990 to 2000, Deejay 2000-2007, KJ from 2004-2007.

Not much prior musical experience, but did once hold the American record for running 100 miles on a track...17 hours 19 minutes 23 seconds.

Have run 75 marathons in last 30 years.

Also looking forward to Hoster 4.0 and ALL it's features, especially the one where they might color up and eye-candy the "SND" display.:) :t

Bryant,

Never did DJ work. Just a simple Rock Drummer & Singer.

My company also produces Track & Field and Road Race software (HY-TEK).

Are you a member of USA Track & Field??? Great organization. We've been exhibiting our software at their National Conventions for the past 15 years.

www.hytekltd.com is the corporate site and www.hy-tekltd.com is the Sports Software site.

Come on 4.0!

Best,
bob...

Age Is Just A Number

You kids are doing alright. I have no musical background, but started playing with Karaoke in 2001. I now have about 12,000 songs in Hoster and 29,000 songs on iTunes. I use a HP with 100 GB and 2 external 120 GB hard drives. I do 2 or 3 gigs a week and am looking forward to the tempo control so I can speed up some of the songs. Oh! I'm 71 years young and rockin'.
