MP3G from DVD-R disc to Storage
One of my singers came in and wanted me to play her personal MP3G disc and told me could save if I get it to play on my hoster.
I read directions but only pulled out more hair I can not afford to loose. I see I have to copy one song at a time, but tried to save to from MP3G button to file. It states to save to MP3G under songlist, but can not find song list or files that show Bin, MP3G, etc. as in picture in manual. So now question to you! What is the easiest way to copy this disc to my hoster and then into my normal playlist. If I have to make a file called "MP3G" under playlist, or what ever, I will do verbatum as you explain. Any help will be appreciated. Also, thanks again for the hint to keeping computer and storage defraged while adding my large library. Whitefox@helloworld.com:e |

Just a note for your information. If she doesn't give you the original disc(s) these songs come from then you can not save them legally. |
To answer your question...
To get an MP3G that is on a disc into Hoster: 1. Copy the MP3G onto your Hard Drive into a Folder that you can easily FIND. (Take note of what you are copying...is it TWO mating files; one that has a CDG extension and one file that has an MP3 Extension as in ex.: Ah2000-01 - Meatloaf - Paradise By The Dashboard Light.cdg Ah2000-01 - Meatloaf - Paradise By The Dashboard Light.mp3 or are you copying ONE Zip file that contains the TWO mating files inside the ZIP, as in: Ah2000-01 - Meatloaf - Paradise By The Dashboard Light.zip or it could be simply a DiscID without an Artist or a Title, as in: Ah2000-01.cdg and Ah2000-01.mp3 or Ah2000-01.zip or any combination thereof. 2. Open Hoster 3. Click IMPORT TRACKS 4. Click IMPORT HARD DRIVE FILES 5. Click either the CDG Tab or the ZIP Tab. You will choose based on what you copied to your Hard Drive. 6. From the CHOOSE FOLDER, navigate to the Folder, where you copied the File(s), and Click SELECT. 7. Click the FIRST File listed in the FILE LIST WINDOW. 8. Click ADD FILES Button. If you get a warning about the SEPARATORS, click OK and DEFINE THE FIELD ORDER. When the ORDER is correct, the files will LIST in the TRACK LIST WINDOW. Make sure the BRAND is correct. Make sure the TITLE and ARTIST is listed correctly in the TRACK LIST WINDOW...correct anything that is missing or wrong! 9. Click NEXT to assign a BOOKID ROOT 10.Click IMPORT FILES Done. |
gd123 did a great job of giving you the details. However, to import MP3G or ZIP songs into Hoster, when you do not own the discs the songs came from can get you into FEDERAL LAW problems, and you can loose ALL YOUR computers, karaoke gear, discs, speakers, even your car/van you use to transport everything to shows with.
In other words, as Dale tried to say, DO NOT IMPORT songs into Hoster that you don't own. :e |
