Upgrading Karaoke Suite 4

Hallo Everybody,

Big John here. I'm new on this forum. I own Karaoke Suite 4 I purchased in 2000. Want to upgrade Karaoke Suite 4.
Question: My PC (Sony Vaio) has a window ME operating system. Can I upgrade my Karaoke Suite 4 without changing my operating system ???

I very much like to upgrade and understand that the operating system must be Windows XP or Vista. But I'm not in the market for a new computer as yet. To install XP or Vista operating system on my existing computer is like throwing money out of the window.

Please help.

Cheers, Big John.:m :m :m

You're right. None of the current Karaoke Suite products will run on ME.

You can check this out on the PRODUCTS descriptions of the individual products in the Suite, under COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS.

We would not recommend you upgrade to Vista. There are lots of problems with it, and some we're sure haven't been identified yet. :r

If you aren't readyt to upgrade to XP or 2000, it would be best to stay with your older versions of the Suite 4 programs. When you are ready to upgrade your OS, then get the Suite4 program upgrades. Microstudio 4.0 has incredible error correction so your imported files will have very clean lyrics.

To upgrade your existing computer with XP or Vista would probably be disasterous. Judging from your statements I don't think your computer would be fast enough, have compatible sound and video cards, large enough hard drive, or even enough memory. To upgrade all of the equipment requirements would be more expensive than buying a whole new computer. I have been working on computer networks for many years and a lot of computers bought with 2000 are not even capable of Vista.
