The answer is no, it isn't Vista compliant.
However the play button is at the top of the playlist. When you push the Karaoke CD button on the far left top you get a list of the songs on the CD in the left window. You have to add the tracks from there to the playlist window on the right by highlighting the ones you want and click the "+" button above the playlist or you can drag n drop into the playlist window. When you have added a track to the playlist the Play button (one with arrow pointing to right) appears. The play button was moved to the top because of all the additional buttons added to the bottom.

Watch this thread (http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?t=8661) as this is the same problem except you have Vista. I don't have an answer and we haven't figured it out in the other thread either....yet. Might be helpful for MTU if you submit a Support Ticket on this. Be as detailed as you can get to help them try to figure it out.

thanks anyway
but if i cant try
i cant buy
thought it was made for vista?
ill probably have the same problem with keyrite eh?

ddouglass March 29th, 2007 12:18 PM

It is made for Vista and you are one of two known to have this problem. Why is it that everyone always assumes the program is broke if something doesn't work right on their computer, but works for everyone else?

i think you have it wrong we might not be the only ones with problems it just that others cant be bothered then i only have your word no one else is having probs you said yourself there is a issue with it
so come off it dont try to pass the buck. it should work for every one right? my other software is made for vista and works fine
when i do have a prob i dont get chatised from admin supporters.

I am not admin supporter or connected with MTU in any way. I am just a customer like you. But I am also a computer tech with 20 plus years under my belt. You may be correct that you are not the only ones, but unless they report it then MTU and the other users on here with the technical expertise have very limited information to go on to try to determine the problem regardless if it is Microstudio's or Microsoft's problem. This is why I said be very detailed in the information you put in the ticket to help MTU Support to figure out the problem.
I was not chastising you and I apologize if that is the way you took it. I just don't like to see people give up so easily, throw up there hands and say it must be this program or that program because it doesn't work on my computer. You are working with a new operating system and a virtually new program trying to interface. That means problems will happen and it takes time to figure what has to be changed to make them work.

OK. Lets back track a bit.
You are getting the screen flash if you try to play from a cdg disc or a cdg file from the default folder?
Have you been able to play audio cd or an audio file from the default folder?
Which version of Vista? Different versions have different settings as default.

im on vista uktimate im on 64 bit
yes i get the flash screen when i cghoose karaoke cd the music will play after about 30 second delay
even if i choose audio
though the red record button flashes
strange innit?

ddouglass March 29th, 2007 11:29 PM

No, the red record button is supposed to flash anytime you play a song. It is recording the music (and microphone if you have it turned on) and you can save the recording after the song is over.

It will delay at the beginning to import the file before playing it so this part is at least normal. Try importing the karaoke songs and then playing them from the default folder. Are you still getting the flash of the graphics screen and then going away?
