Looking to buy Hoster

I've been looking and reading the MTU site, but I'm still a bit confused. I want to copy my songs (they are all CDG) from discs to one of the hard drives on my HP laptop...so is Hoster all that I need to get, or should I get MicroStudio, too!

I don't know what DVD writer is in the laptop...I do know that it is a LightScribe DVDRW/R...how do I find out for sure?

Thanks-

Buster52

if you want to copy your cdg you need to get microstudio, if youre thinking of doing a show hoster is what you need..im not sure about your cd/dvd burner, but i have an external eomega slim design cd/dvd burner and it works..

Are you looking to use them from the hard drive as in doing a show or for home use without having to go to the CDs? Or are you just looking to back them up?

You can find out exactly what model DVD writer you have by going to the control panel, open System, go to hardware tab and click on device manager. Look for CD/DVD drives click the plus and see the model number.
Most of the Light Scribe drives do work. Easiest way to tell is download and install the Demo version of the program.

I want to be able to run my songs from the hard drive without the discs! I will download the demo to the laptop to see if the DVD will rip them to the HD.....(rip)is that a good word here?!!

I think Billyo answered my question, though! I'll just need to determine if my DVD will do what I need it to do!

I'll go ahead and order both now!

Thanks,

Y'all

IF you are going to use it for Home consider the Hoster Lite, but if you are going to do shows with it, then the full Hoster is the way to go.
