4.000 Beeping on Demo

I'm getting an intermittent beeping while playing a cdg disc using the demo with the keyrite feature. Is this supposed to happen? It beeps not only when the new key is chosen, but at other times during the music.

I want to make sure that everything is working right with my equipment before upgrading again.

Interesting. Yes, the Keyrite demo does inject beeps as its hampering. That's the only way to hamper an audio processing program.

The full Microstudio 4.000 doesn't do this. :w

Do you have Keyrite demo loaded too? Admin could that cause the Beeps to come through MS?

George March 16th, 2007 03:22 PM

I installed 4.000 after lunch and played a wav track with no beeping either with or without the key change activated. Do not have Keyrite demo.

Update:

Installed keyrite demo...no beeps with either .WAV or . CDG tracks, key changes used through the full + and - ranges.

Microstudio 4.000 Demo

I'm sorry that I was not clear enough. Before spending another $30 or so on Microstudio I want to make sure it does what I want with my equipment. This is happening in my Microstudio Demo

This is not the keyrite demo

admin March 16th, 2007 07:09 PM

Sorry I was unclear. The Microstudio DEMO has the Keyrite DEMO code within it also, which is causing the beeps.

As George posted, the Microstudio RELEASED version has no hampering.

Hampered demos

Sorry Admin, I didn't even know you had chimed in. I was responding to George's post. Although he doesn't report a beeping on the stand alone Keyrite Demo.

About hampering the demos like that, it's a shame. I want to make sure that everything works on my equipment. I got burned a little bit because of "assumptions" on my purchase of the last update in December.

Anyway, thanks for clearing things up for me.

I was quite disturbed by George's post, so I downloaded the demo AGAIN myself and tested. As soon as I clicked anything but "0" key change, there was an immediate tone, and random tones repeating through the song. I tried this with both 2.011 and 2.012 (current download demo version) and both exhibited the beep.

George is ususally very accurate, but I think he must have been running the Full version, not the demo. In the About Keyrite dialog box (click the same named button), the demo shows "DEMO" at the left center in this dialog, not up by the version number as we do in some other programs.

Anyway, the demo does include the beeps, which is as I stated.

I was running the full version. I thought that that you and DDOUGLAS were trying to figure if the hampering was somehow showing up in the full version if the Demo was also installed, and I confirmed it wasn't happening.

Looking back, my post wasn't all that clear on what I was doing ...grrrrr:f

Sorry about that.

Yes the demo has hampering as it should.

That's what I was checking out, but must have had a senior moment when I posted back. I was not clear.
