Am I able to switch versions??

I haven't liked 3.000 since I got it. Am I able to blow away 3000 and reinstall my 2613 setup exe without any trouble?

Thanks

You should be able to uninstall 3000 and reinstall 2613 with no problems. Just start inslalling 2613, and the install shield will uninstall 3000 for you. Then go through the install process.

Also don't forget that the registration code is different for 2.6, so you will need to have the old code to re-install.

Didn't the registration program fill the data in on 2613 ? It does on 2611.

New registration code was issued with 3.0, so it won't work with previous versions.

Ernie, Are you aware that 4.000 is now released? Some of the complaints of early 3.000 users were solved in 3.001, 3.002, 3.003, 3.004 and now 4.000 has a massive feature rich upgrade. You should receive an email today with a discount coupon to buy 4.000 within 30 days. Click here to look at it and see if your complaints have been answered.

I know. That's not what I was saying.

Isn't the reg. code for 2613 persistant and doesn't have to be entered manually when installing, just like all the others?

That's why I ignored it in my post. Saw no point in creating anxiety where none exists.

Ernie, ddouglass is right. The RegCode changed for 3.0xx. Thus, to install 2.613 again, you will need to find your prior RegCode for that version and enter it in, overwriting the 3.0 RegCode that will appear when you try to install 2.316.

I was under the impression that the original reg. code, in the upper block was persistant and when the reg. code changed, the new code appeared in the lower block, and the prior version could still be installed simply copying and pasting the old code to the lower block, or blanking out the lower block.
