upgrading to 3004 and registration
 

I am trying to upgrade from 2613 to 3004. I clicked the check update button in 2613. Was taken to the website with the link. Downloaded the 3004 and it uninstalled the 2613. It then got to the registration and when I enter the info it tells me that the registration is for another product on my system.

I can go back and install 2613 and the registration works fine.

Any ideas?

I don't believe it is a free upgrade from 2.613 to 3.004. You will have to purchase the upgrade and then you will get a new registration and download link.

I followed these instructions:
Open your current Microstudio.

Open HELP.

Click on CHECK MTU SITE ( or similar wording).

If you qualify for a free upgrade, click DOWNLOAD, if not, click BUY.

Is this correct? I did this and the link to download was there and it didn't say DEMO, it said upgrade.

The registration number for 3.xxx was changed that is why I said you need to buy the upgrade. Do same above but click buy instead of download.

I want to thank you for this post about your confusion. I have just updated the Microstudio Upgrade (and other product pages also) with two new paragraphs that explain when a new RegCode is required. Sometimes we can't see the forest for the trees. :s :w
