Audio songs in song book

Could someone tell me if you can add audio only songs to hoster database and then only print out your karaoke songs, thank you for any help with this question. I am using the lastest version, thanks again. :t

No. If you add an audio file it will show up in the songbook.

We currently don't have a direct way to add .mp3, .wma or .wav audio files to the Songs Database, which would then appear in the SongBook when rebuilt.

We are considering this for Hoster 4.0.

For now, you could use Karaoke Home Producer to turn a .wav file into a .bin or .kma file. The .bin can be imported with the Hoster Import Hard Drive Files screen, and the .kma can be added with the Tools menu Merge KMA files command.

You can add audio only songs if you add from a cd (CDA tracks) and if the CD is listed in FreeDB it will fill in the artist and title.:g Add a Brand and create a DiscID and your in business. I tried this after seeing another post in here and it does work. You get a blacked out singers display but it does work.

But what he was asking Admin was if there was a way to NOT have them print in the songbook. That can't be done at this time.

Dale, you're right. I'm not our Support expert, and I'm spread too thin today. :r

In Hoster 4.0, we expect to allow (importing from CD, or converting from HDD files) audio KMA files. These will have TYPES of: HDWMA, HDMP3, HDWAV, and CDWAV (probably). There will be a new "group" of check boxes and list fields in the Create SongBook dialog where you will be able to select what to EXCLUDE from the created SongBook. For the TYPE check box, I expect we will offer 4 list boxes where you can select up to 4 file TYPEs to exclude. Before we are done, we may do something like add an "A" in front of Audio Types and a "V" in front of Video types. That way you could select to EXCLUDE all A and/or all V types. Need to evolve this more as we get into it.

Even though you can't do that can you at least put all the audio songs at the end or beginning of the song book. I really only want to be able to use the search option to be able to find the song quickly if someone asks if I have certain song while doing a kj dj show. oops :t
