I'm just gonna wait for v3.312 to see if it is still a problem .... if so I will enter all info here to see if it is a problem for anyone else using an updated version of Hoster because v3.310 works fine to import zips for now.

Imported songs going to wrong directory

I don't think this issue is related to 3.311 specifically because I recall it occurring in 3.310 also. I have two internal hard drives in my system and all my songs are on the D: drive in a directory called Hoster. Everything in Hoster works fine but when I import songs they end up in the c:\program files\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster\Songs directory. I then have to manually move them to the D:Hoster directory and rebuild the database. I only have the D:Hoster directory listed in the Tools/Build Songs Database/Songs Source Folder. ' not sure if I am doing something wrong or if there is a problem. Just for clarification I am importing zipped files from the C: drive when this problem occurs.:?

When you are on the import screen importing files make sure it is set to save files to the folder you have your kma files stored. I set the path once and it puts them there every time after that.

Well the problem is in Hoster V3.311 once all parameters are selected in the Import ZIP Hard Drive Files Screen and you click on the radio button to add files and receive a dialog box with the message that you are about to import X number of files and you click "yes" the prompt becomes "please enter brand" and I cannot enter brand and must shut down Hoster with Windows Task Manager.

Mike,

It sounds like you are doing a "Batch" import. Is this correct? What is the format of the filenames that you are importing? Does the DiscID appear in them at all? How many files are you attempting to import? It might help if you post some sample filenames. Thanks!

yes it is a batch import...the format is the second selection from the top of list which includes the Disc ID - Track Number - Artist - Song Title. It has been mostly Sound Choice and Star Disc with 14-15 tracks .....I do not recall which specific discs were a problem because none of the files I was attempting to import in the zip format would transfer. Hoster would continually prompt me to enter a Brand Name yet not allow me to do so. It would be necessary to close Hoster with Windows Task Manager...reinstall the prior version and all would function perfectly.

Mike,

Do you happen to know if any the DiscIDs that you are attempting to import are not contained within Hoster's Database? I know this may be a lot to ask, but it may help zero in on the problem. Thanks!

Just read the news page and the new version of Hoster v3.312 specifically says it addresses a fix for this situation
