Unable to play DVD

I recently purchase the MTU Portable PC Hoster computer and discovered that I cannot play a DVD thru the CD/DVD drive. An error pop up saying that the DVD is not a VOB file. I read one of the Thread that maybe I missing a video codec. Anyone can shed information on this problem.

What type of DVD file are you trying to play? Movie? Video Karaoke (VCD)?

What program are you using to try to play this DVD?

Thanks Guys

Dale, Thanks for responding to my situation in regards to "UNABLE TO PLAY DVD". I've just received an email from MTU"s Bryan and he gave me a web site to download the video codec software. I downloaded it and now my Hoster plays DVD karaoke from the Hard Drive or the CD/DVD drive.
Prior to video codec download I could only play VCD Karaoke disc.

Bryan thank you for your time for looking up the website and Dale thank you for responding to my thread.

Could you post this download codec site please, someone. Also, when installing codec files, where do they go (into what folders)?

Bryant, when you download those they are usually in an executable script that will post the file where it is supposed to go.

MTUSupport, could this codec be made available through the Support Center Knowledge Base, either as a direct download from MTU or a link?

Warren, glad you got it fixed.

Video Codec

Dale/Bryant, the download software is at MTU's Support. Scroll down to where it says 'WHAT DO I NEED TO MAKE VIDEO PLAY IN HOSTER". They have two (2) software. Try either one to see which one works. I selected the 2nd one becasue the first didn't work for me.

Good luck warren
