editing out titles

help, want to produce a complimation of CDG songs so that one flows into the other without a pause in between.

We have never had this request from a client. You could do this in Karaoke pro, but this is the only program that will do it.

Changing the .CUE file

I think you could edit the cue sheet. Take out the buffer(2seconds) that would make it back to back. You might be able to cut the seconds off the beginning of a cue file and skip the intro(take off the titles).
I once had a CD+G direct from the Manufacturer that started in the middle of the 2nd song and continued like that until the end of the disk(all songs started in the middle except the first one).
I was able to fix this CD+G by accident with Goldenhawk. I opened the cue sheet and just changed all the start & end times and added a buffer to the tracks of 2 seconds, then burned a new CD and it was fixed. After that all songs stated and ended properly. This is the only way I now how to play with the tracks and edit the files.:?

Sorry, not possible...

Sorry, this is not possible with any combination of CD+G tools, unless you're the proud owner of Karaoke Pro.

Why not just use a (M) and (F) before each line to signify male and female etc.

I agree with Bose

I'm sure Bose would agree that some of us out there are just using what we can untl MTU (ahem) comes out with KHP with duet capability. I for one would gladly pay for this option.

Until then, you have a few options on representing duets:

1) Do as Bose suggests: "M" and "F", "B" for both

2) Create a 5 line song, the top 2 lines "M" bottom "F" and middle "B" (this is a little more difficult)

3) Make no references, and hope the singers will know their parts

The first option is the most effective in this case.

I am being very patient with MTU. I am more than happy with the current version of KHP, and love using it.

Good luck, and keep at it. Anyone who has other ideas, I'd be glad to hear 'em.

KHPro can do this as well.. well, in a sense. load all your music into your favorite wav editor (cooledit, soundforge, etc) and string 'em all together how you like, with whatever kind of transitions you want to use, crossfades, etc.

import the lyrics for ALL the songs (or at least the portions of the songs you're using) and load that newly created wav file of all your songs combined for the music. Check your settings, hit the good old Place Lyrics button, and have at it. The result will be on real long 'compilation' track, for lack of a better description.

Hope that helps.
