Do you have the right drive set as default drive?

TOOLS, CD/DVD DRIVES DEFAULT, use the drop down menu to select the proper drive.

Hope that gets it for you.

Yes, This is the only drive installed .It does import songs from cdg's but just won't work when playing someone's cdgs at a show.
I'm thinking ,I may have to upgrade from reading the upgrade info.

are you using Hoster or Hoster Lite? Lite won't import from singers discs

Beavis July 3rd, 2006 07:13 PM

if you start a DJ program up first it might use the cd-rom exclusively. PCDJFX does that. i f i start PCDJ up first, i cant use the cd-rom in hoster.

hoster wont play cdg directly from the disc.

Hi I have the Hoster.I was able to play the singers disc with the earlier version of hoster but haven't been able to do it with the 3.110.I installed a new plextor cdrom from MTU ,thinking that was the problem also.

Thanks
John

I use another computer for DJ music.I started having the problem when the dvd rom died.I could play the cdg cd rom only if the dvd rom was unplugged.

is your autorun disabled ?

JHS1229 July 3rd, 2006 07:28 PM

It must be enabled as when installing upgrades, the cdrom starts up by itself.Do you think the newer version would fix this problem?

Beavis July 3rd, 2006 08:25 PM

you should upgrade!

Thanks for that info, I disabled the autorun on this drive and everything works better.Still not as good as the previous version I had.It works but with a few minor glitches when loading ,doesn't effect the song playing ,the timer on the song playing stops until the song is imported.I will be getting the upgrade .

Thanks to everyone who replied helping me with this.

John
