perfect video format
I’m about to start converting all my dvd music videos to digital files. I’m wondering what would be the perfect video format to use in order to obtain the best possible picture from a compact size file.
.avi? .mpg1? .mpg2? .wmv? .mov? :? I understand that video quality will depend of the kind processor you have, size of file, video card resolution, original source, etc. But maybe someone has already found that re-endering video to a specific format, using the appropriate bit-rate-sampling / frame-size / compression-type, produces a good video file everyone can use… (nice picture, average resolution, compact size, ideal for any computer). |
We use all *.wmv files for our systems. This size is small enough and the resolution works just great on any size television.
Click for a sample of a "karaoke/beer commercial" in wmv format. Playing time is only one minute and the file is 1.85mb. I always make sure that I play this right AFTER some idiot --who's simply being an idiot-- has just completed their song. It's a "Hoot" as they say down south. Totis, I will be in El Paso from June 11th, to June 15th for a reunion and would appreciate a schedule of your locations. Looking forward to Chico's Tacos! |
C. Staley: actually our place is not located in el paso. It's in Delicias, Chih. Mexico, a small city 250 miles away. We'll be glad to have you here.
