First Outing

:) Did my first show last night with my Hoster Rack mount went very well
with one small problem . When I tried to load a song from a singers disc I
kept getting a message that there was no disc in the drive. It happened
Twice once with a Chartbuster Multisesion and once with an SAVA disc.
So I tried one of my compilation discs and got the same result, after the show
I tried it again with the CB disc and it worked perfectly Using 3.301.
Hope I gave enough info.

Upgrade

But you told me not to on day of show and i have one tonight

Beavis March 25th, 2006 10:42 AM

well i would install the new version, do a test run at home, then shut everything down and restart and do another test then do the show. if theres a problem, you can uninstall and put the prior version back on.

or wait until tomorrow and tell the singers "no disc's tonight"

its up to you :)

Thanks Bevis! I overlooked that while doing the Hoster 3.303 and Keyrite 2.010 upgrades. I just fixed it.

Goonie227, congradulations on your first show! :) :g :c

Your problem with Singer's discs was addressed in 3.303 and should now work correctly. We found a very real cause and fixed it. I agree with your not updating the day of a show, and taking a backup player was an excellent work-around!

Thanks Guys

Tonights Show went great I was a little worried because it was a contest show
and half the singers bring discs but the backup player got me the job done.
The more I use hoster the more I wish I'd have made this jump years ago.

I just read this post, and last night I upgraded to 3.303. I went to My Account, but did not see a FREE upgrade. I paid $39.99 for the upgrade, plus, I ordered the cd-rom( $12.00). My question is: Why was I charged for the upgrade if it is free? Another question is: What is the improvement going to 3.303? What were the differences? I tried to look it up in the MTU store, but did not find info. Also, I still have my " drag" problem with the singer's disc after upgrading to 3.03.
One more question, I used to get this particular forum(open discussion) automatically, now I have to search for it. Can I be put back into this post?
Thank you, Daryl.

its only free if you bought 3.0

did you try this??

look here

im sure MTU will refund you the money if you already bought 3.0

MTUSUPPORT March 27th, 2006 12:07 PM

Yea, you will need to follow the directions for Refund, on this Policy page to get the refund, if you already owned 3.303. http://www.mtu.com/support/returns.htm

You will need to email sandy at mtu.com with the order number and tell her that you already were entitled to this, and to please credit your account.

Anyone can purchase the upgrades, as beavis stated did you look to see if you had the download link in your order, before just purchasing?

Your discs dragging problem, is going to be related to something in your computer. The only real way to probably get rid of this problem is to format your system and reload Windows and all the drivers. This will bring to a brand new system. Then it will most likely work.

Beavis March 27th, 2006 12:21 PM

ya know what the problem is bryan is when you go to the page this page about purchasing hoster you should put a line that says free upgrade. then ad a hyperlink to the store account.

i got confused the first time i upgraded using the store account.

MTUSUPPORT March 27th, 2006 02:16 PM

I agree beavis. I will send this over to Admin to get him to do that.

WDEWDAD7 March 27th, 2006 06:56 PM

Thanks for the reply to the charge for the 3.03 upgrade. And yes, I did purchase previous version. I did not notice anything about the upgrade(free) on MTU store account. However, after I purchased the upgrade, I read some other forums, and saw where there were some problems that had to be fixed, and also noticed that if I had gone to the MTU store, there was a place for free upgrade there! It was not in My Account Overview, store account. Thanks for the input though. Daryl.

Beavis March 27th, 2006 07:08 PM

if you bought 3.301 it was in there.
