Did you never have a failure in a computer part before? Is it MTU's fault that the Plextor drive we selected, tested and certified to do CDG failed after you inserted and removed 1000 discs?

Plextor drives are recognized as THE BEST in the world. Receiving 1000 discs... that's not "infant mortality", but it clearly had a manufacturing defect, which will be repaired under warranty.

Drives from some manufacturers often fail BEFORE you could insert/remove 1,000 discs. We don't sell those to our customers like a competitor did... before switching to the drives MTU sells.

Did you realize that MTU protected you from ever having to discover that poor quality drives exist? I have personally talked to customers who had bought as many as 6 different CDR drives that claimed to "do karaoke", before they discovered MTU. None of their prior drives copied the lyrics. Their MTU drive copied the lyrics. We have been selling CDR drives since 1992, when Yamaha was $25,000 for a 1x burner, and the Denon (better quality) we sold was $16,000.

Why don't we ship two drives? Failures are so rare in our tested Plextor drives that we know it would be a waste of our customers money.

Please... post here what MTU has done that you vent against us... that you feel that you bought a freaking computer from MTU? After all the engineering review we do to select the best and most reliable components available today, I'm upset that you would feel MTU is at fault for this failure. :s

I'd like to know why... so we can try to do better in the future.

What has MTU DOne?

I don't know what MTU/Hoster/My Rack Mount has done.............I Havn't had chance to use it yet :e ...........When my Plextor starts to do what its suppose to do then I will let you know what MTU has done......Now u do remember when I first bought this computer all the problems I was having with the drive etc, Me having to ship it back, because you weren't in the office that week and someone got into a hurry to ship it out????

Mark,
When you put a Disc into the Drive what Pops up? In Windows, does it automatically open Windows Media and start trying to do something with the Disc? If so then you need to go and reset the Autoinsert settings for it to take No Action.

1) You do this by opening My computer (or Windows Explorer)
2) Find your DVD-RW or CDR drive, Right click on the drive letter.
3) Left click Properties
4) Left click Autoplay
5) Click the Drop Down Menu and select Music CD
6) Now click Select an action to Performand make sure that this is set to Take No Action
7) Click Ok to save this.

Make sure that you have cleaned your discs also. Also some times it is the cheap media that the manufacturers use, which is why your copied discs import much faster and better. To get around this, sometimes you can make a copy using Microstudio and then import the copied disc, which will import much faster.

Now try importing again and see what happens.

I went back through your system 100% when you shipped it back to me and it was exactly the way that I do them, before I ship it out. I made the needed changes that were missed, while I was on vacation. When I sent the system back to you it was exactly as they all are, when I ship them.

So, Are you saying the system is working now or it's not working?

MrMark March 19th, 2006 07:44 PM
