Karaoke DVD and VCD discs

:? :t
Question for all you experts from a newby. Can you put your karaoke DVDs and VCDs in the hoster as well as your CDGs? If so, how do you do it?

Well no and yes. You can't use Hoster to import them nor add them to your search database but you can put them on the HD yourself and play them through Hoster via the Video tab at the top of the playlist.

Thank You!

:c Thank you for your reply! I have my music videos on the hard drive that way also. I don't suppose you can put them in the songbook though can you?

Unfortunately no. The songbook program uses your song database (songs.mdb) which contains only your KMA's.

I've often thought it would be an interesting experiment to try and copy/paste my vcd songs from excell into the songs.mdb file (which is an Access file) and see what happens but I'm a little short on nothin-better-to-do time right now. If anyone else has tried it I'd be curious to hear how it went.
Of course an adjunct of Murphy's Law says about the time someone figures it out MTU will have VCD importing incorporated into Hoster and it will all be a moot point.

I'm sure all this is on their list of things to do, but how far up the list it might be I don't know.

I just use my songbook program to make a Video CD songlist at the back of my songbooks. Some people just like them for the videos and it's real easy for them to find the video tracks that way.
