zip files
 

i have zip files and Hoster 3.301 does not see them when importing from hard drive. i unzipped a few and the file names of the unzipped .mp3 .cdg are numbered and hoster does not see these either. they are however playable if i adsd track mp3g. but cannot be seen from the import from hard drive area. also the zip files can be seen useing add track mp3g but not using import file from harddrive. any thoughts would be helpful.

*update* It does not show the zips in the import to hard drive area but clicking ok even when it does not show them does let me import the files. however after importing and loading the kma " that shows as a HDZIP it errored out. they will not play any ideas?

did you look in the manual about importing ?

What version of Hoster are you running?

Click Help menu > About Hoster to see this and post it back here.

Read about the "Remove Imported Tracks" check box in the Import Hard Drive Files screen. That might explain some.

As to your edited note, if you are now importing the .zips, and they show as HDZIP but error out when you play, they are probably zipped using "Max Compression", which there is little support for in the industry... it is a pure custom compression that gives so little additional compression from the standard that it is worthless.

How did you get these zip files?
