Trouble Importing CDG files into hoster

When I originally installed hoster 3.01 all functions seemed to be working properly. Now I can not Import my huge list of CDG files located on my HD.
The entire process appears to work, but does not import the entire song or
CDG file. The import is only showing 8 to 10 seconds of the file got imported.
I don't get any errors or anything. It's just not importing the files. I also,
can not play a single audio file now by clicking the audio button and picking an MP3. This all worked before and now just don't. I have tried multiple re-installs
of hoster, and I get the same results. Any thoughts as to my problem?

do you have 3.301 ?

tsandoval February 16th, 2006 11:46 PM

Yes...

Well, I hate to wrap every song I have in a zip file, but that seemed to make the song play with graphics. Kind of a bummer to have to touch every song and zip the .cdg and mp3 files. Ugh...

What little info you provided seems contradictery, you say they are cdg files but hint later that they are mp3g's :?

I'll make an assumption that you are in fact refering to mp3g's and suggest the possibilty that you are trying to import them ashard drive cdg's instead of as mp3g. I know for a fact (been there done that) that doing this will produce the results you describe.

alrighty then!

Ok, your right on some, others tell me wrong format chk format. But yes,
duh!

Thx

did you read the manual on importing mp3g ?

the manual is a really great piece of work by MTU !

bryant February 17th, 2006 08:43 AM

Beavis, do the mp3's need to be put in the kma folder?
At work (school-free period right now)...so don't have access to manual at the moment?

Beavis February 17th, 2006 09:16 AM

no you need to import them through the imports hard drive tab.

batch importing mp3g or zip is fast, not like importing from a disk.

MTUSUPPORT February 17th, 2006 09:25 AM

When you are importing, what type of file format are you selecting? Are you selecting CDG? If you are this is your problem. Your files sound like they are MP3+G. Try using the MP3+g type instead.

Beavis, what folder does it go in, though. Or are they not stored anywhere like a kma.

Beavis February 17th, 2006 11:07 AM

with your kma's

bryant February 17th, 2006 11:10 AM

Can I just drag 'em over then update database too, OR not?

Beavis February 17th, 2006 11:15 AM

no, you have to go through the import process
